FOX Sports 1’s Rob Parker Says He’d Take Colin Kaepernick Over Matt Stafford

Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford cashed in yesterday, agreeing on a contract extension that is worth $135 million over five years and will make the ninth year quarterback the highest paid player in NFL history.

Stafford has thrown for over 4,000 yards every single year for the past six seasons, including 1 season with over 5,000 yards. All those yards have produced three playoff appearances for Stafford and Lions but the team is still searching for the first playoff victory since 1957.

On Tuesday’s edition of “The Herd”, Rob Parker argued that Stafford is vastly overrated and threw out some compelling stats and records that doesn’t make Parker’s take all that asinine, but then he brought up the comparison to a now unemployed quarterback.

He argued that free agent QB Colin Kaepernick is a better option for the Lions than Matthew Stafford right now.

Kaepernick, of course is unemployed, mainly because of his anthem protest last season but saying he’s better than Matthew Stafford could be a bit of a reach, although Parker’s argument is more compelling than crazy.
