For the first time in a long time, the New York ‘football’ Giants had a quarterback not named Eli Manning starting for them and unfortunately, the results were no different than the majority of their games during this miserable and forgettable season.
Geno Smith made the start and despite his solid showing which included throwing for 212 yards and one touchdown, the Giants still fell tot he Oakland Raiders, 24-17.
After the game, Geno was mad about the loss but also a comment made from his former coach and current ESPN analyst Rex Ryan.
Here was the comment made by Rex:
Rex Ryan: “I love Geno Smith. Great guy. I just don’t want him playing quarterback for me.”

And here was the response from Geno:
Geno Smith on Rex Ryan: “I did see one of my ex-coaches say he didn’t want me to be his quarterback. That really upset me. Guy that we saved his job in 2013. We fought our ass off for him, both years. For him to come out and say that shows how much of a coward he is.”
