Geno Smith Wants Everyone To Apologize To Ben McAdoo Because He Knew Eli Was Finished

One of the biggest stories of the 2017 NFL season was former Giants HC Ben McAdoo’s shocking decision to bench long-time starting quarterback Eli Manning in favor of Geno Smith. While McAdoo did have the right idea, he just replaced a New York legend with a New York joke under center.

McAdoo was in the midst of a disappointing 2-10 season in 2017, one year after going 11-5 and taking the team to the postseason in his first year as a head coach. The decision to bench Eli Manning led to an uproar from the fans and members of the New York media, which eventually led to the Giants firing both HC Ben McAdoo and GM Jerry Reese the Monday after the benching.

Last night, the team dropped to 1-5 after a disappointing 34-13 loss to the Eagles. On Friday, Geno Smith, who is currently the Los Angeles Chargers backup QB took to Twitter and threw massive shade at Eli and the Giants organization, demanding everyone apologize to McAdoo for clearly making the right decision:
