Georgia State Coach Ron Hunter Falls Out Of Chair After Son, R.J. Hit GW Shot

No. 14 seed Georgia State pulled off a shocker, upsetting No. 3 Baylor, 57-56 in the round of 64 on Thursday, thanks to a clutch three-pointer by R.J. Hunter, son of Georgia State head coach Ron Hunter.

When the Panthers were down by 12 with just under three minutes to go, R.J. rallied his team to pull off an incredible 13-0 run with 12 points of his own, including the deep three-pointer with 2.5 second to play.

R.J.’s shot was so clutch and incredible, it knocked his father Ron, who tore his Achilles last week, off his rolling stool. That moment will go down as one of the greatest sports moments ever.

14-seeded Georgia State will face either Xavier or Ole Miss on Saturday.
