Ghana Footballer Sulley Muntari Hands Out Money To Poor People In Brazil

I’m sure by now everyone has read about the protest and poverty that is going on behind the scenes at the World Cup in Brazil.

We’ve seen the pictures, read the articles, watched the protest but Sulley Muntari of Ghana is doing his best to make sure he gives back to the poor people of Brazil.

According to media reports, the Ghanaian football star was out in Maceio, Brazil handing out money to the poor people that in the area. A great gesture from a footballer, who also grew up in poverty.

Muntari who plays club futbol for AC Milan, was granted special permission by head coach Kwesi Appiah to take a tour in Maceio, where he signed autographs and took photos with the locals and in an incredible act, the African star pulled out 5,000 Brazilian Reals (Brazil currency) and began handing it out the people.

Eventually the police made Muntari stop.

After drawing with Germany, 2-2, Ghana’s World Cup hopes are still alive heading into their final game against Portugal.
