J.J. Watt Has Now Raised A Whopping $15 Million For Hurricane Harvey Victims In Houston

The best story of the NFL season is currently being written a week before Week 1 even kicks off.

J.J. Watt of the Houston Texans pitched in $100,000 of his own money last week after Hurricane Harvey struck Texas and left the south eastern region flooded and in shambles.

The donation was the beginning of an online fund he started to allow the public to donate as well. After pleading for just tens of thousands of dollars, that total is up to $15 million just a few days later.

The Texans star has made it his purpose this week, posting daily videos on Twitter begging for the public’s help. They’ve clearly responded.

The amount that Watt’s donated has already exceeded his total earnings this season as one of the highest paid players in football.
