Five-time Pro Bowler, Chief, longtime Viking, Bear and most recently Carolina Panther, Jared Allen is finally calling it quits.

Even though failing to get a ring in Super Bowl 50 or his career in general, the defensive end is still riding off into the sunset, posting this video to his Twitter account to officially announce his retirement:

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport released a further statement from Allen along with his video:

The 33-year-old star was asked about his career status by the media in the week leading up the Super Bowl, seeming weary to give a definite answer, saying:

“I really don’t know,” Allen said. “Those are conversations I’m going to have with my wife, my kids and the family. That will be what it is when it is.”

During his 12-season run in the NFL, his stats finalize at 642 combined tackles, 136 sacks, 58 passes defended, 32 forced fumbles and six interceptions in 187 regular-season games.
