Jay-Z & Beyonce Refuse To Stand For The National Anthem Before Super Bowl LIV

What would this football season have been without a little National Anthem controversy to conclude it.

With the Super Bowl LIV taking place in Miami on Sunday, Hard Rock Stadium was packed with celebrities, which included Beyoncé and Jay-Z.

The two were in attendance with their daughter Bleu Ivy, and after walking about on the field pregame, were spotted among some others sitting down during the National Anthem, which was sung by Demi Lavato.

The footage sparked outrage on social media similar to the backlash that 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick received when he knelt during the playing of the Star Spangled Banner prior to games a few years ago.

Infamous conservative Fox Nation host Tomi Lahren even went as far as saying the two should “try another country,” while calling Jay-Z a “former crack dealer.”

Jay-Z is a partner of the NFL and decided to work with the league on the back of the dispute with the former 49ers quarterback.
