Joey Chestnut Sets A New World Record With 75 Hot Dogs In 10 Minutes

There was no crowd to watch it in person this July 4th, but Joey Chesnut has set a new world record with 75 dogs in 10 minutes.

The annual Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest was held inside with no fans this year due to the Coronavirus outbreak, and Joey Chesnut has apparently been practicing in quarantine, topping his previous world record of 74 by one dog, setting 75 as the new benchmark.

When asked after the bell about setting the new record, Chestnut hilariously replied with, “The dogs were cooked really well today…that helped a lot.”

Chestnut finished with 33 hot dogs more than second place and notches his 13th victory at Nathan’s, the biggest stage in the sport. That’s more titled than Michael Jordan and Tom Brady combined but who is counting.
