Lamar Jackson Can Throw 8 Straight INTs Next Game & Still Have Higher QB Rating Than Baker Mayfield

Lamar Jackson and Baker Mayfield came into the 2019 season on opposite ends of the spectrum. While one was touted as a glorified running back who couldn’t make it as a QB in the NFL, the other was being touted as the long-awaited savior to the Cleveland Browns and one of the next great quarterbacks this league has seen.

The two couldn’t have started the season any more on the contrary.

Lamar Jackson has led the Ravens to a 2-1 record, only losing to the powerhouse Chiefs, while Baker and the Browns find themselves at 1-2 barley able to muster points on offense. Mayfield has tossed only 2 touchdowns to five interceptions. Jackon has accounted for seven TDs with zero interceptions.

The disparity between the two’s play under center is so great, Jackson can toss eight straight interceptions on the first eight passes on the Ravens Week 4 game, and still have a higher quarterback rating than Mayfield.

Adding insult to injury, Mayfield went on record blasting the Giants selection of Daniel Jones with the sixth overall pick in this year’s draft. In just one game, his first start as a rookie, Jones has accumulated more fantasy points and twice as many touchdowns than Mayfield has all season through three games.

Mayfield and the Browns look to get back on track in a big game against who else, the Baltimore Ravens, next Sunday.
