Drayman Green is arguably the most versatile player in the NBA. A big guy who can lock down the opposing center and then bring the ball up on a fast break, he can do it all. That includes play football apparently.

The 6’7″ and 230 pound Warriors big man was a notable star at Michigan State, but not many know he also tried out for the football teams.

Back in 2011, Green played tight end for the Michigan State Spartans during their spring football game. And as you’ll see from the footage, more than a spring game was probably needed for Green to look comfortable in pads and cleats.

Green went on to tell Hugh Bernreuter of MLive.com that he liked his future in basketball more than football. Fortunately for the Warriors, that was the path he chose.
