Marshawn Lynch Saved $50 Million Because He’s ‘Extremely Cheap & ‘Lives Like He’s Broke’

You wouldn’t think a guy who drives around in a white Lambo with accompanying velvet ropes for parking and has a fish tank in his house complete with an underwater Hennessy bottle is a penny pincher, but apparently that’s the case.

It was reported around the time of former (we think) Seattle Seahawks’ running back Marshawn Lynch retirement that Lynch had saved approximately $47 million over the course of his playing career, spending not a dime of it, choosing only to spend income from endorsements, sponsorships, etc.

This week, Lynch’s cousin, Mistah F.A.B., confirmed those very reports about Marshawn’s thriftiness as well as adding in a few more insights into the very introverted running back’s life via this podcast:

“He lives like he’s broke,”. “He still lives like, ‘Cuz, let me get $10.’ ‘Oooh, $10? Cuz, I don’t know. I don’t got it right now. How much is them? Oooh, $40? No, let me get the $15 ones.’ Like, that’s how he is. You’ll be like, ‘Bro, are you serious?’ Like, we’ll go out to eat or go somewhere and he’ll be like, ‘How much is the whomp whomp? Oooh, hell no! $60? Oh no, no. Let me get the $25 one right there, though, the one on the side of it. Yup, that one’s good!’ I’m like, ‘Cuz, you are a cheap ass hoe, bro.’ That’s just how he is. You learn to love him.”

It’s a beauty because he shows us how to save money, how to keep things going, and he’s a symbol of hope for us.”

We’re sure a lot of young NFL-ers can learn from this guy, both on the field, and off.
