The Green Bay Packers’ new tight end Martellus Bennett is already becoming a fan favorite.
Jim Love, who is a Minnesota Vikings fan, reached out to Bennett, to let him know that his five year old daughter is a die-hard Packers fan. They tried to make the Packers’ Family Night visiting the girls grandparents in Appleton, Wisconsin, but their flight was cancelled.
Love reached out to the Packers organization to see if they can make it up to his daughter, who was bummed she couldn’t make it to Lambeau in time for the Family Night:

The tweet caught the eye of Martellus Bennett, who’s fairly active on social media. Bennett, who has a daughter himself, promised he would go out of his way to meet with Love’s daughter prior to the start of Monday’s practice:

Bennett stuck true to his promise, and rode his bike with Love’s daughter and cousin to Lambeau before practice, and it was truly a heartwarming moment.

The Packers-Vikings have a heated rivalry and it’s nice to see Bennett put that aside to help create a young fan’s dream come true.
