There’s been heavy speculation about team relocation in the NFL over the past few years, both nationally ad internationally.
From the Jaguars and Chargers, to the Raiders and Rams, many teams are considering a switch. The two most talked about locations for a teams move are Los Angeles and San Antonio. The Chargers and Raiders, long-time rivals even considered a move to LA together, where they would share the same stadium a few months ago. With teams relocating, many say a division re-alignment is needed.
This mock alignment is based on geographic location, which makes sense due to air travel time and costs, as well as the opportunity to have more opposing fans traveling to away games. The downside of course would include the loss of key rivalries in respective divisions, such as the longtime battles of the NFC East.
