The New Falcons Stadium Is Coming

Though it has been widely criticized as unnecessary, the new Atlanta Falcons stadium will become a reality in 2017. It is one of the handful of new NFL venues set to be completed in the next few years including the Vikings newly selected Super Bowl gig, as well as Levi’s Stadium that will house the 49ers.

Much has been made regarding the new build, considering the Georgia Dome, nicknamed “The Dome”, as it is relatively new housing, the Falcons since 2002, holds an incredible amount of people, is and has been property suitable to host important sporting events, and has no integral issues with its infrastructure. But with that said the new stadium will be constructed and is set to allow people to rethink the “stadium experience.”

As you can see in this following video, the architectural masterpiece of a roof opens and closes like no other stadium roof on earth. It will include an eight-panel retractable roof that resembles a ‘pinwheel’ along with a glass wall that opens on the roof to allow in fresh air.

When it is completed, the structure will be a sight of awe for sure.
