The term that meant absolutely nothing a few weeks ago, now is one of the most popular terms of February thus far. ‘Left Shark’ became a phenomenon during Katy Perry’s memorable Super Bowl XLIX halftime show while during one of Perry’s songs, the left backup dancer wearing a shark costume, for lack of a better term, looked like he was dancing on morphine.
In the newest “This Is SportsCenter” ad, Left Shark and friend have to return to work in snow covered Bristol, Connecticut. Once inside the building, the identity of “Left Shark” is finally revealed.
ESPN could be on to something here. Imagine turning on the television and seeing Left Shark hosting SportsCenter, he could just sit there, say nothing, and I would watch.
