New Yorkers Were Not Happy After Empire State Building Honors Patriots and Eagles

The Empire State Building was lit up on Sunday night to congratulate the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots on reaching Super Bowl 52. Part of the building’s lighting was green and white, while the other side was red and blue:

This is something the New York skyscraper does often to honor sports teams, it’s almost apart of American culture and this wasn’t the first time the building was lit up to honor a non-New York sports team, either.

However, when it comes to sports teams, it’s hard sell for New Yorkers’ to decide which sports city they hate the most, Philadelphia or Boston and a lot took to Twitter to voice their displeasure with the Empire State Building’s decision:

Don’t be so salty, New York.
