The NFL just increased the probability for more games ending in a tie.
How exciting, right?
With a number of rule changes on the talbe this year, there is one that is being considered a questionable move by fans and it has officially passed.
The NFL overtime rule will now go from 15 minutes to 10 minutes:

NFL overtime expected to be reduced today to 10 minutes from 15 minutes. “It’s happening,” said one league official.

To be fair, only 20 plays in the 2016-17 season were played past the 10 minute mark in overtime so there won’t exactly be a large outcome from the rule but the chances of a tie, which fans hate, increases.
Everyone remembers the Seahawks/Cardinals game that ended in a 6-6 tie.
