Odell Beckham Wears Awesome NYC Themed Cleats Against Jets

NFL players are known for their feet heat off the field, but the newest trend is those players bringing some of it back into it.

We’ve seen numerous NFL stars such as Steven Smith, Aria Foster, Marshawn Lynch, Muhammad Sanu, AJ Green, Odell Beckham Jr., and more wearing custom hand painted cleats during pregame or during the game itself with ridiculously awesome themes such as the Joker, Charlie Brown, and now New York City.

Giants stud WR had these joints on today, standard Nike cleats painted with the NYC skyline on the right foot, and the Statue of Liberty on the other.

The cleats were painted by sneaker artist who goes by the pen name of Kickasso and can run somewhere around $200-450, not including the cost of the orginal cleats.Screen Shot 2015-12-06 at 4.02.40 PM

Some of Beckham’s previous custom cleats this season included those themed with Charlie Brown, the military, and stars & stripes:

Last season Nike threatened to cut the endorsement deals of players who violated the NFL’s uniform policy in respect to the cleats, but has not since taken action. Player shave begun wearing them in warmups only to both please their sponsors, the leagues sponsor and their wallets, with fines reaching 10k for wearing illegally defaced cleats during a game.
