There wasn’t expected to be much defense in this showdown of high-scoring offenses, and it seems like Oklahoma WR Dede Westbrook didn’t expect any coming across the middle.

In the second quarter of Oklahoma vs. Oklahoma St. game in Bedlam, OSU safety Jordan Sterns laid out the OU star wide out with this brutal hit.

There was no flag called on the play as the hit was deemed legal by the referees. It appears as if they refreshingly made the correct call.

Westbrook was attended to by the medical/training staff for some time before getting up. He has been ruled out for the reminder of the game.
