One Year Ago, Le’Veon Bell Said $60 Million Wasn’t Enough To Get Him To Play For The Jets

News broke last Tuesday night that Le’Veon Bell had agreed to sign with the New York Jets for $50 million, but considering the running back’s Twitter history, that’s a surprising move.

On Feb 1 of last year, a Jets fan tweeted at Bell suggesting the team will give him $60 million to play for them. He denied, saying the price was too low.

Just one month later and Bell has signed with that team for far less.

Perhaps the market for Bell wasn’t quite what he was expecting when he decided to sit out an entire season and wait for a new contract this offseason.
