Super Bowl Champion left tackle Michael Oher, currently with the Panthers, may be better known as the actor who played him than the actual him.
This Friday, Cam Newton’s bodyguard, for lack of a better term, agreed to a new 3-year, $21.6-million extension. Not only is Newton excited, but the news was well-received by both fans and a number of his other teammates, which won’t let the ‘Blindside’ side of him go.
If you’ve seen the movie, as most of you have, you seem like you have a connection with Oher, as you’ve seen his story, a glimpse into his journey from where he began to a Super Bowl champion unlike that of any other NFL player.
After signing the new contract extension, his players decided to tweet out a couple GIFs in commemorate the moment and have a little fun at the same time. Well played.
