There are always a few things that occur during that Super Bowl that occur during that game yet are not part of such. For instance, the lights casually shutting off. Maybe the biggest from this year’s Super Bowl 50? Eli Manning’s hilariously bewildered reaction after Peyton Manning secured the win late in the 4th quarter.
Surrounded by an over joyous Manning family in their box, Eli seemed the cringe with stomach churning and heart dropping realization, that he no longer has any thing on his borhter Peyton. The only thing Eli had, 2 Super Bowl rings to Peyton’s one was now gone.
It may seem outlandish, but any other obvious explanation alluded us and most likely you at the time.
Monday morning though, brother Peyton cleared it up for confused football fans everywhere on why his brother wasn’t the slightest bit happy for his brothers Super Bowl win saying,
“Eli’s just like me. Eli is analyzing the game. He’s thinking about whether we were going to go for two. Whether it was going to be reviewed,” Manning told CBS News.
“Eli’s kinda like me,” Manning continued. “He wasn’t gonna relax until that final second ticked off. I’ve had a great chance to celebrate with Eli. He’s very happy and proud of me just like I’ve always been of him.”
Now you have to believe Peyton because he’s Peyton after all, but then again if you look at Archie Manning in the back, you can see him with the exact same ‘it’s not over until it’s over’ reaction as Eli.
