The only reason the 49ers aren’t the absolute worst team in the NFL, is because the Cleveland Browns exist.
San Francisco finds themselves at 1-12 through 13 games this season. In fact, they haven’t won a game since the first week of the season when they beat Jeff Fisher (not saying much).
Linebacker Aaron Lynch isn’t buying into the stigma.
In October, Lynch said, with much criticism, that they have “one of the best teams in the NFL, easily. Hands down.” Months gone by numerous losses later, Lynch hasn’t wavered.
“It [my mind] hasn’t changed at all,” Lynch said. “I think we showed in the beginning of the game that we have one of the better teams in the league. The record isn’t gonna show that — we’re whatever it is, 1-11 or 1-12, whatever that is — I don’t really look at the record. I look at how we all play and I think we all played our ass off this game and I still feel like we have a really great team.”
Someone may be receiving a “random” drug test from Roger Goodell soon.
