Ravens CB Jimmy Smith Went Over To Fans And Told Them To Stop Booing Lamar Jackson During Game

Unlike other sports like basketball and baseball, fans and players rarely interact during football games, especially on the sideline, but on Sunday Ravens’ Jimmy Smith went over to fans and told them to stop chanting for Joe Flacco.

With the Ravens being held to a mere 3 points through three quarters, failing to even pick up a first down in the second half, a shower of boos came down each time quarterback Lamar Jackson came out with the Baltimore offense.

At one point early in the 4th quarter, the cornerback reportedly went over to fans behind the Ravens bench and told them to stop booing Jackson on the basis of him having helped them reach the playoffs in the first place after a 4-5 start to the season with Flacco under center.

The CBS crew also noted that Smith, a seven year veteran, told the fans to not be fair-weather.

On the very next drive, Jackson and the Ravens offense were finally able to string together a competent drive, capping it off with a touchdown pass to Michael Crabtree.
