Ravens Cut WR Jordan Lasley For Throwing Football In Pond After Fight With Teammate During Practice

This is probably the worst way to get yourself fired.

According to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley, Ravens WR Jordon Lasley was involved in a training camp fight without CB Cyrus Jones after Lasley took offense with Jones’ high shot during press coverage.

Lasley responded by punching Jones and ended up being tackled by teammate Bennett Jackson.

On the next practice rep, Lasley caught a touchdown pass and responded by throwing the football into a nearby pond.

That did not go over well with the Ravens staff.

On Wednesday, the team announced that they were releasing Lasley.

Coach Harbaugh claimed the team didn’t cut Lasley for throwing the football in the pond, clearing up any confusion.

But still, odd timing.

Lasley was a fifth-round pick in 2018, but did not see the field during the season.
