Last July, five police officers were gunned down in Dallas, TX in what would become the deadliest attack on police forces since the Sept. 11th terror attacks.
Since then, a lot has been made about police brutality in this country a lot of NFL players have spoken out against police forces across the country but the latest news out of Washington, where Redskins tackle Ty Nskhe donated tickets for Thursday’s divisional matchup against the Dallas Cowboys to victims and families of July’s police shootings in Dallas so heartwarming and amazing.

Nsekhe, a native of Arlington, TX, was approached by his friend, Adrian Jackson and his business partner about giving back to the police officers in the Dallas Area. The original plan was to have a player from both the Cowboys and the Redskins to help the cause.
When Jackson was unable to secure a member of the Cowboys, Nsekhe stepped up and decided to pay for the all tickets that were set to be donated. The Redskins left tackle stated, “I’m just hoping to just bring some light…One day of joy. I don’t know if they’ve been able to see a Cowboys game before. If they haven’t, hopefully it’s a great experience for them.”
In addition to the tickets, Nsekhe met with the families and victims on Tuesday night.
Nsekhe will be making his third consecutive start at left tackle Thursday as he’s filled in nicely for Trent Williams, who was suspended four games for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
Regardless of the outcome on the field Thursday, we know that families and victims of the Dallas police shootings this past July will be rooting for at least one Redskin.
