The Patriots-Chiefs Sunday night game was yet another black eye to the reputation of NFL officiating and how flawed it’s been this year, and the year prior, and the year before that, and so on.
The referees blew two seemingly obvious calls that led to at least one, and almost surely two Patriots touchdowns being wiped off the board.
But that wasn’t even all of it.
Midway through the third quarter, referees hit Kansas City offensive lineman Jerome Boegr with a illegal hands to the face penalty, moving the ball back 5 yards.
