One year into retirement, Bruce Arians is reportedly ready to return to coaching and take over as head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
An official announcement was expected within 24 hours, according to multiple reports.
From @gmfb earlier today: The #Bucs and Bruce Arians haven’t begun negotiating their contract, but all signs point to him as the new coach. Would make for fun times in TB. pic.twitter.com/3JJJbJ9kMN

Jay Glazer of FOX Sports explained on Colin Cowherd’s TV show that Arians interview with the Buccaneers included a trip to a local hospital, which Glazer said is a first. Arians, 66, has had several health issues over the years, including prostate cancer in 2016.
When Arians officially becomes the next head coach of the Bucs, he will name former Jets head coach Todd Bowles as his defensive coordinator. Bowles worked under Arians in the same role with the Cardinals in 2013-14.
