Having a female kicking field goals for your team might not be as far into the future as you probably though, thanks to Carli Lloyd.
The prospect of a woman playing in an NFL game seems far off, but apparently not as far as we thought.
USWNT star Carli Lloyd made an appearance at Philadelphia Eagles training camp a week ago, where she gave out kicking field goals a try. Lloyd nailed a 55-yarder with ease.
Thank you to the @Eagles for having me out! Thanks to @JustinTuck @jake_elliott22 @MayorRandyBrown for the good time and tips! 🏈 🎯 #55yd pic.twitter.com/owZ16f46Th

The video was so impressive that not just one, but multiple NFL teams were so impressed, that they reached out to Lloyd, one even offering a spot for her to play in a preseason game this week.
Well, Lloyd is reportedly “seriously considering” that tryout as well as possibly a career as a kicker for an NFL team.
