The clock is ticking towards the July 15th deadline on Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys working out a long-term contract ahead of the 2020 season.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Dallas Cowboys have made a new offer to Dak Prescott that is longer than what he wants in terms of years:

“It’s not in the realm of the 10-year pact that Patrick Mahomes signed with the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday, but it is lengthier than Prescott desires, Pelissero clarified.”

Prescott signed his franchise tag on June 22 and won’t be a training camp holdout. The two-time Pro Bowler is coming off a huge season statically in which he had a career-high 4,902 passing yards and 30 touchdown passes.

The 27-year-old Prescott is due to make $31.4 million this season on the tag if a long term deal isn’t reached by July 15th.
