REPORT: Jets Plan To Make A Run At Jim Harbaugh To Be Their Next Head Coach

Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh has already stated that he has no desire to leave Michigan but that isn’t stopping one team from trying to lure him back to the NFL.

According to Pro Football Talk:

Per a league source, the Jets are the team that is planning to make a run at Harbaugh after the season ends.

The thinking is that the Jets plan to make Harbaugh a financial offer he can’t refuse, well in excess of the $7 million he earns at Ann Arbor.

Harbaugh is on the verge of finishing his fourth season at Ann Arbor. He left Stanford after four years, for the 49ers.

Pro Football Talk also mentions that the Jets “started digging on Harbaugh roughly four weeks ago” and the plan remains to try to interview him.

All assumptions are the Jets will fire their current HC Todd Bowles at the end of the season.
