Things are getting dicey between the Los Angeles Chargers and Melvin Gordon.
The 26-year-old running back has been holding out of training camp in hopes of getting a long team deal from the team but after weeks of negotiations, it seems like things are going no where and the Gordon’s agent has requested a trade:
Chargers General Manager Tom Telesco reportedly told the agent he did not have permission to seek out potential trade partners on his own.
Gordon appeared in 12 games in 2018, racking up 885 yards to go along with 50 receptions for 490 yards and 14 total touchdowns.
The Chargers picked up the 5th-year option on Gordon worth $5,605,000 for the 2019 season.
