After much speculation has been made about which team between the Broncos, Texans, Jets, Bears and Cardinals Tony Romo would be playing for next season, another suitor for the Cowboys veteran QB has reportedly hopped into the mix.
According to NFL’s Ian Rappaport, the Redskins are discussing a three-team trade that would send Kirk Cousins to the 49ers, allowing the team to sign Romo. The 49ers would presumably send picks Jerry Jones’ way to complete the swap.
Play a potential and unprecedented three-way deal forward… #49ers inquire about Cousins. #Redskins talk about Tony Romo. #Cowboys get picks.

With Colin Kaepernick having opted out of his contract in San Francisco, the 4934/ will be looking for a QB whether it be in the draft or free agency. The team has also seemingly been adimate about signing Cousins, who played under the team’s new head coach Kyle Shanahan when the two were paired in Washington. Cousins has also made it known he will only accept a trade to the 49ers.
