The Washington football team officially retired their team name on Monday. What the Washington team did not do was unveil their new logo and team name and this might be the reason why.

Philip M. McAuley, a realtor in Alexandria, Virginia, trademarked over a dozen potential names that the Redskins could potentially use in their rebrand. This includes popular choices like “Redials” and Red Wolves” in addition to lesser-known candidates like “War Hogs, “Tribe” and “Radskins”
