Overshadowed by the ridiculously amazing game in which it actually was, we’ll never forget the time when the head referee umpiring the Cardinals – Packers playoff game flipped the coin, and well forgot to flip it.
Although as surprising as it seems, this hasn’t been the first time a seemingly simple, impossible to screw up coin toss has had issues. Just ask Jerome Bettis and the Pittsburgh Steelers, who will never forget the most infamous coin-flip fail in NFL history.
Stephen Colbert dedicated a segment of his Late Show to alternatives for the NFL to use instead of coin flips, and well, we think he’s on to something.
