With every tragedy, some light is shed on the good in the world. Aaron Feis may epitomize that.
Nikolas Cruz opened fire Wednesday on his former school, Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland Florida, killing 17 and injuring dozens more. One of those injured was one of the school’s high school football coach Aaron Feis, who reportedly was shot while using his body as a human shield to protect students.
Broward County Sheriff’s Office later confirmed that Feis was among the fatalities.
Numerous students and players took to social media to express their gratitude for Coach Feis, who also served as a security guard for the school for eight years.
Rather than talk about the coward shooter, meet Aaron Feis, football coach & security guard at Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS. He stepped in front of many students to protect them from bullets. He’s currently battling for his life at the hospital. Let’s pray for him. #hero #Parkland pic.twitter.com/tBU9NezZOj
