The Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots are the two most popular franchises in the NFL. They both have tons and tons of fans and at the same time have tons of haters.
Last Sunday, the two teams faced off against each other and the television ratings numbers from the game were historic.
The game received a 19.5 overnight rating and a 40 share nationally, which is tied for the highest rating for any regular-season NFL game on any network since 2007 and is also tied for the most-watched FOX broadcast since 1996.
Boston was the top-rated market for Sunday’s game with a 42.6 rating and 67 share, while the Dallas market racked in a 32.5 rating and 62 share.
Unfortunately for the league, the two teams aren’t scheduled to meet for another four years.. unless of course, they meet in the Super Bowl.
