Throwback To 315lb. Lineman Dan Connolly Taking A Kick Return Back 71 Yards

Today marks the 6th anniversary of arguably the greatest runback of all time. No, not Devin Hester’s to open the Super Bowl, no not one of Dante Hall, but this.

During a Packers vs Patriots Sunday Night Football game back in December of 2010, 315-pound Patriots right guard Dan Connolly took back a Green Bay kickoff 71 yards after, coming up just short of the end zone.

After the game quarterback Tom Brady said “I’ve never seen anything happen so slow in my life.”

The play still stands as the longest run even by any lineman in NFL history.
