Throwback To The Bengals Using WR Chad Ochocino As Their Kicker For A Game In 2009

Former NFL WR Chad Johnson/Ochocino’s career will forever be known for his talented receiving abilities as well as his touchdown celebrations. What many fans forget is that he can kick too.

During a matchup against the Patriots in 2009, the Cincinnati Bengals subbed in Ochocino for kicker Shayne Graham, who had a groin injury.

Ochocinco kicked the extra-point on the Bengals’ only touchdown of the game as well as filling in for kickoff duties,  impressively getting a kickoff all the way to the Patriots’ 9-year line. The point ended up being the game winner, with a final score of 7-6.

Ochocinco said, “I went out there and did what I do. I just kicked. … Everyone has to remember, I’ve always said that soccer is my No. 1 sport. I think Ronaldinho would be proud of me right now.”

Johnson’s kicking ability likely comes from his soccer skills, a sport which he plays regularly.
