Throwback To Chad Johnson Brining Money Onto Field To Bribe Referees During Replay

In a league where seemingly all personality, celebration and creativity has been sanitized from the the league, we miss players like Chad Johnson/Ochocinco even more so.

Arguably the longtime Bengals WR’s most controversial moment came when he jokingly brought a dollar bill onto the field in attempt to bribe an official during a replay during a game vs the Ravens.

Having been fined $20,000 by the NFL, one could only image how that figure would be in today’s day.

According to a league spokesman, Ray Anderson, the league’s executive vice president of football operations, fined Ochocinco for violating a rule that “prohibits use of abusive, threatening or insulting language or gestures toward game officials. He was also in violation of Rule 12, Section 3, Article 1 (f) of the Playing Rules which prohibits possession or use of extraneous objects that are not part of the uniform during the game on the field or sideline.”
