Two Quarterbacks The Browns Passed Up On Win AFC, NFC Player Of The Month Awards

The Cleveland Browns are struggling to find the answer at quarterback and they have no one to blame but themselves.

Prior to the 2016 NFL Draft, Philadelphia maneuvered their way to trade up to the No. 2 pick and select Carson Wentz. They traded a boat load of picks with the Cleveland Browns, who also had a need at quarterback but decided the plethora of draft picks were better than finding a franchise quarterback.

I don’t think any Philadelphia Eagle’s fan is complaining about the trade.

Then, last year, one of the picks they received from Philadelphia put them in position to grab Clemson’s Deshaun Watson. They opted to make another trade, this time with the Houston Texans, who like the Eagles were looking to grab a franchise quarterback.

And much like the Eagles, I don’t think Texans’ fans are complaining about the trade.

So while the Cleveland Browns continue to search for their guy at quarterback, teams like the Eagles and Texans are excited about the future of their franchises.

It was announced today, that QB Carson Wentz was named NFC Offensive Player of the Month while over on the AFC side, QB Deshaun Watson took home the honors:

It’s hard not to feel sorry for Browns fans.
