Jimmy Murphy is a redshirt senior walk on at the University of Miami, and with likely no opportunity to see a game time other than a blowout, Saturday’s 63-0 win over Bethune Cookman was a perfect opportunity.
Murphy was given the call late in the third quarter and scored from four yards out. What followed by be the greatest touchdown celebration in recent memory.
Murphy ran down the sideline, was pummeled by a teammate, did a front-flip, and then climbed on the benches on the UM sideline to show off his “touchdown rings”.

Not surprisingly, he was flagged for excessive celebration.
