Washington Redskins CB Josh Norman Expected To Miss A Several Weeks With Rib Injury

The Washington Redskins defense has been a pleasant surprise so far this season but if the pleasant surprise is going to continue, it’s going to be without one it’s most important defensive starters.

Star cornerback Josh Norman suffered a rib injury in the second quarter of tonight’s Monday Night Football game between the Redskins and Chiefs.

Redskins coach Jay Gruden told ESPN’s Lisa Salters that Norman could miss “a couple of weeks.”

The Redskins have a bye next week and play the San Francisco 49ers in two weeks.

Norman, out for the game, injured his ribs trying to make a tackle on tight end Travis Kelce after  long catch and run. Norman immediately jumped up and appeared hurt, shaking his shoulder. He ran off the field and went straight to the locker room.

Losing Norman for an extend period of time would be a huge blow.
