NEW ORLEANS, LA – New broken by The Times-Pocayune Tuesday confirmed that former Saints defensive end Will Smith had in fact been intoxicated when he was shot during a traffic altercation in New Orleans in April.
Smith wasn’t only drunk, his blood alcohol level was 3-times the legal limit when he got back into his vehicle after dinner, gunned down minutes later. His blood registered at 0.24% while the legal limit stands at 0.08%.
Smith’s wife Racquel was shot twice in her legs during the incident, but survived the shooting.
