BREAKING: Giants Coach Pat Shurmur Announces Odell Beckham Will Start At QB Against Eagles

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – The Giants are looking to avoid going 1-5 on the early season facing the Super Bowl champs Thursday night at MetLife Staidum.

The Giants have struggled passing the ball downfield, evident by Odell Beckham’s public comments saying he’d like to see more balls “over-the-top.”

The offense somewhat turned things around last Sunday against the Panthers, ironically at the hands of Odell. New York drew up a trick play that ended with Beckham throwing a 57-yard TD pass to RB Saquon Barkley.

Just days later, Giants head coach Pat Shurmur has announced their star WR will attempt to work his magic again by starting at quarterback against Philly.

“At this point, Odell throws shade at our team further than Eli can throw a football, and we need to push the ball downfield,” Shcumur told the media Thursday morning.

“We also felt like the more time Odell is spending learning how to play the position in time for kickoff, the less time he has to do random interviews shit talking his teammates. It’s a win/win. The firggin’ Browns have a better record than us. What’s the risk here.”
