The New York ‘football’ Giants hit a new low Sunday, losing to the winless San Francisco 49ers 31-21 in Santa Clara, California.
The loss puts the Giants at 1-8 and a team that has become the biggest laughing stock (outside of the Browns) in the NFL.
WFAN Radio host Mike Francesa, who is known for his epic rants went off on the Giants. Torching head coach Ben McAdoo and the effort by some players.
Take a listen:
Francesa went on for 13 minutes and laid it to the Giants, here’s an interesting exert from his opening monologue:
“I don’t believe in firing coaches in-season. It’s a worthless practice, unless you get to the point where you just can’t look at the coach anymore or he’s just such a negative and such a downer that he just brings everybody down. And I think we’re reaching that point. … That he could stand there and say he’s not embarrassed, ‘Just gotta get back to work, just gotta get the tape and correct a few things.’
“What are you talking about! Hello, anybody home? You’re not embarrassed by that, then what the hell would embarrass you? These are the New York Giants! What would embarrass you if you’re not embarrassed by what you’ve seen the last two weeks?”
Francesa also called DT Damon Harrison the smartest guy and his reason?
“The smartest guy was Snacks (Damon Harrison) because he got on a cart and got the hell out of there!”
Harrison was carted to the locker room with an ankle injury.
The Giants were coming off a 51-17 historically embarrassing loss to the Los Angeles Rams last week and while many thought it could not get it worse are now saying the the 31-21 loss hopeless 49ers is worse.
And you know what’s next Giants fans? The red hot Kansas City Chiefs.
