Central Michigan Scored 75-Yard Touchdown After Three Laterals But Fails Two Point Conversion

Central Michigan overcame a 49-14 deficit to nearly pull out the craziest win in recent memory and with one second remaining in the Popeyes Bahamas Bowl, CMU needed a 75-yards to tie the game, it almost happened.

Central Michigan Chippewas’ quarterback Cooper Rush threw a Hail Mary to Jesse Kroll who then began the series of laterals. Titus Davis was the one who eventually able to score a touchdown and cap off the insane comeback against Western Kentucky.

After scoring the touchdown, the confident Chippewas took the game and went for the win instead of kicking the extra point, Cooper’s fade pass to the back of the end zone fell incomplete on the two-point conversion ending a wild game.

Western Kentucky defeated Central Michigan 49-48, winning their first bowl game in school history.
