Allegations of hung up phone calls, interviews where McCoy mentioned he would not shake his former coaches hand and more all were debated heavily, and today it all played out. Though the game was intense for reasons other than the spotlight on McCoy and Kelly, some of the fire that was the feud surfaced after the game while cameras were rolling as Shady entered the tunnel on his way back to the locker room.
“I’m sure he’s pretty pissed,” former teammate Lane Johnson said of Shady. “He’s a guy that wanted to win and try to throw it back in our face here. So I’m glad he didn’t get it.” The Bills RB also refused to talk to reporters following the game, saying”I’ve got nothing to say,” as media members gathered at his locker.
The Bills loss dropped the Bills below .500 to 6-7, and at a tough spot to try to clinch the wild card.
