Donald Trump just summed up his entire platform as a candidate for president with one sentence regarding the Colin Kaepernick saga that has lit a firestorm across the country.

Trump appeared on Dori Monson’s show on KIRO radio Monday, and as one could expect, was asked his thoughts on the decision the 49ers QB made Friday night to not stand during the playing of the National Anthem, and will continue to make until “things change.”

His answer:

“Well I have followed [the Kaepernick story], and I think it’s personally not a good thing. I think it’s a terrible thing. And you know, maybe he should find a country that works better for him, let him try, it won’t happen.”

Trump’s polarizing and radical campaign is based on the phrase “Make America great again,” a stance that in his eyes seem to lean towards banishing the allegedly oppressed, some of the same groups behind Kaepernick’s reasoning for sitting. Seems a tad hypocritical to call out someone for criticizing the current state of our country when his entire campaign is based off of just that.
